It can either be a powerful tool for communication, productivity and profitability or it can be a debilitating source of problems and a drain on resources. Keeping every aspect of an information infrastructure working, updated and secure can be daunting. Time is valuable, and it should be spent running the business, not troubleshooting the network.

Not every small and medium business needs a full time IT staff, but every business needs to make sure their computer network is secure and trouble-free.

Rather than a break-fix model, our customized on-site and remote scheduled maintenance allow us to find problems before they impact your network. Checklists and custom documentation allow us to ensure consistent service. Even better, our structure is designed so that you will work with a small dedicated group of technicians who know your network, your company and your needs intimately.

Our Philosophy

We are in a very technical business. We work with networks, computers and software which are inherantly complicated and inhuman. However, no matter how much your business relies upon its technology ultimately every business is about people.
Without people, your computers are just boxes of metal and silicon. Here at Techglia, Inc. we understand that in order to completely understand a client's technology, we also have to understand and work with the people who use it, we have to know the story.

It doesn't matter if a system is working perfectly if it isn't doing what you need it to do. It doesn't matter if you have the latest and greatest tool if no one knows how to use it. That's why we look at a larger picture.

We believe that we have two jobs. The first is to maintain, monitor and support your network, hardware and software. The second, and more important job, is to make sure that your people can accomplish their tasks and reach their goals using that technology.

We aren't here to fix your computer although sometimes that is what we do. We are here to make sure we never need to fix your computer. Sometimes we joke that if we do our job right we'll put ourselves out of business.

We are here to make sure that whatever business you are in, the tools you rely on to do that business are ready and eager when you need them. We are a partner with your business and your success is our ultimate goal. Our hope is that we can help you sleep a little better at night knowing that there is one less thing for you to worry about.

Strategy

When it comes to executing our vision, as described in more detail in the philosophy section above, we realised we would have to build the company around a few simple concepts:

  1. A technician would need to repeatedly work with the same client in order to develop an intimate familiarity with their particular systems and needs, to learn their story. The client shouldn't have to work with a random technician, they should call the person they know and are comfortable with.
  2. There will be instances where a single technician is not enough to meet a particular client's needs, or when a single technician would not be able to address an issue in a timely manner and a second technician would need to step-in. This technician should also be familiar to the client and know them as well as be known to them.
  3. It is important that clients benefit from experienced technicians with a proven track record of excellence while allowing new technician's to be brought up to speed from Techglia, Inc. veterans as either the client or Techglia, Inc grows.

In order to address the three concerns listed above, we have organized the technicians into small groups we call Cells. Each Cell consists of a small group of technicians who work closely together with a limited roster of clients. Benefits to the client are:

  1. A small team where each technician knows your systems and knows your business. You never have to worry about a random technician showing up at your door with no idea who they are or whether they know what you need.
  2. Multiple technicians reduce response time by distributing workload. Additional resources are easily brought on task in the event something big occurs.
  3. In the event one technician is unavailable there is no time lost bringing another up to speed. Technicians will keep each other informed of any important information via internal communication channels.

The group brings pooled expertise and experince to bear on any situation so that it can be resolved with both quality and speed.

Ultimately, our goal is to make sure you have all the benefits of an in-house IT staff  without the associated overhead. By assigning you to a small and focused Cell of technicians, we believe we can not just be the "fix it" people, but a valuable partner to help you to meet your technology goals.
